From label-boss Dj Cutman and jazz-chiptune maestro Button Masher, “Star Road” takes inspiration from the golden era of 16-bit gaming.
Taking its cues from Super Mario World, “Star Road” is a fresh blend of smooth jazz, chill beats and the sounds of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Button Masher is the project of Grammy-nominated arranger and jazz pianist Jake Silverman. Jake joins forces with GameChops founder and mixer Chris Davidson, better known as Dj Cutman, on “Star Road” — an original composition with dreamy chords, grooving bassline, and crisp production.
