The Kickstarter still has a few weeks to go but has already reached its goal and the lower tiers are selling out fast! We use computers, 3rd party consoles and handhelds and sometimes even purchase 20-year old hardware to pull this off.<\/p>\n<p>In the past few years computer emulation has become almost flawless and at the same time computers have gotten smaller and faster. The Raspberry Pi &#8211; for those unfamiliar &#8211; is a credit card-sized computer that packs as much power as a middle-of-the-road computer and each model is getting faster and more stable.<\/p>\n<p>I am personally excited about the fact that it runs the Scumm emulator. The possibility of playing some <a href=\"https:\/\/beatscribe.wordpress.com\/2014\/10\/02\/the-best-adventure-scumm-games-to-emulate\/\">classic SCUMM games <\/a>while I&#8217;m on the train just sounds like the greatest thing ever.<\/p>\n<p>The project had already been funded and most of rhe lower tries have filled up. But there&#8217;s still some &nbsp;awesome high-end ones available, the ultimate being a stainless steel &#8220;run it over with a tank version&#8221; for the modest price of $5,000.
