On September 18th, 2026 GameChops LLC filed a federal lawsuit against Materia Music Inc. / Materia Music Publishing.

The suit alleges Misrepresentation under the DMCA, Copyright Infringement, False Copyright Management Information, and Unfair Business Practices. GameChops seeks a Declaratory Judgement of No Infringement for it’s catalog of licensed cover songs and remixes.
