Snore Lax cruises back to the Nintendo 64 era! Lofi synths and mallets take the lead against flickering hi-hat rhythms in his take on the main theme of Diddy Kong Racing.

Snore Lax is Matt Hope, a Philadelphia-based guitarist. Since the project’s inception in 2022, Snore Lax has covered themes from over a dozen games in soothing lofi style. In his latest, “Diddy Kong Racing”, Snore Lax pays homage to the titular racing sensation for Nintendo 64. The theme was composed by David Wise, best known for the beloved Donkey Kong Country soundtrack. “Diddy Kong Racing” will appear on Snore Lax’s upcoming album, Snorlax Study Buddy, releasing this fall!
