Paying tribute to Kingdom Hearts, Snore Lax tugs on heartstrings in “Kairi”. Chopped textures, acoustic guitar, lofi beats and strings blend together in a chillhop take on the emotional theme.

Snore Lax is Philadelphia-based guitarist Matt Hope. Known for remixing music from Super Mario, Kirby, and more Nintendo favorites, Snore Lax approaches classic soundtracks with nostalgic vibes and dreamy atmosphere. “Kairi”, the theme of Kingdom Hearts‘ beloved heroine, was composed by Yoko Shimomura, who is also known for her work on Super Mario RPG, the Mario and Luigi series, and Final Fantasy XV. “Kairi” will appear on Snore Lax’s upcoming album Snorlax Study Buddy, releasing September 27th!
