Rumbling basslines, lo-fi strings, and chillhop beats take center stage in “Brawl”! Coffee Date puts her spin on the main theme from Super Smash Bros. Brawl with the final single from her upcoming album, Wii Chill.

Coffee Date (real name Evelyn Rivera) is a composer and violinist currently based on the east coast. Fueled by nostalgia for the classics of the Wii era, Coffee Date’s remix of the theme from Super Smash Bros. Brawl marks the sixth and final single from her upcoming album Wii Chill. Using booming subbasses, piano and violin chops, and dusty textures, “Brawl” transforms into a focused lofi hip hop beat. The theme was originally composed by Nobuo Uematsu, known by videogame music fans for his masterful work on the Final Fantasy series.

The full collection, Wii Chill, releases on July 19th!
