Stardew Valley lofi tribute album Stardew & Chill 2 on colored vinyl

Coffee Date is a composer and multi-instrumentalist, Evelyn Rivera, best known for her The Legend of Zelda-inspired Hyrule Café series. Following up her 2022 album with Dj Cutman, Stardew & Chill, Coffee Date reimagines 14 more tracks from farming simulator and indie darling Stardew Valley.

Evelyn writes:
“It’s such a pleasure to return to the music of Stardew ValleyStardew & Chill with Dj Cutman was one of the most pivotal projects of my career, and I’m still so proud of what Cutman and I were able to achieve through it. It was such a powerful learning experience, and thanks to Cutman’s guidance and encouragement, over the years I have truly been able to evolve the Coffee Date “sound” and refine my skills as a musician, producer, and arranger.

“Since Stardew & Chill’s release in May 2022, it has been an overwhelming honor to see the reception to the album: sold-out vinyl pressings, features from publications like PC Gamer, players modding the Stardew & Chill tracks into the game, and people sharing stories and comments about how the album has been a source of joy and peace in their lives. I’ve gotten so many messages asking for more Stardew Valley music and track suggestions. Now, on the third anniversary of Stardew & Chill, it’s a delight to finally fulfill those requests with Stardew & Chill 2.

“While Cutman couldn’t join me on Stardew & Chill 2, I’m honored that he has placed so much trust in me to create this sequel. This album is the result of all the learning, practice, and growth over the years since Stardew & Chill’s production in July 2021 through February 2022. I am endlessly grateful to my community: the whole team at GameChops, my wonderful family, all the amazing new friends and colleagues I’ve been able to meet during this journey, and all the listeners — you all make this dream possible. Thank you all for everything.”
