Keyboard wizard Jemma Heigis joins the GameChops lineup by teaming up with Dj Cutman in “Chemical Plant Zone!” The track features bouncy electro-house beats and masterful synth licks in their take on Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
Jemma Heigis is a keyboardist, influencer, and music educator known for her impressive synth solos and improvisation. With the production prowess of Dj Cutman, the duo transform Sonic the Hedgehog’s iconic “Chemical Plant Zone” into a future funk anthem, with rich synth improv and booming beats. “Chemical Plant Zone” first appeared in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and later recurred in Sonic Generations and Sonic Mania. The theme was composed by Masato Nakamura.
