The Icarus Kid’s takes his production chops to outer space with a cover of the indie strategy game Cobalt Core’s battle theme, Gravity Well. With an analog aesthetic, The Icarus Kid covers Aaron Cherof’s standout compositions through driving house beats and energetic electronic production. 

Based in Seattle, The Icarus Kid is an electronic music producer whose GameChops releases blend video game music with deep house and classic dance music. Previous GameChops releases include remixes of Hollow Knight, Gusty Garden Galaxy, along with additional electronic reinterpretations that bring club-inspired energy to game soundtracks.

Originally composed for Cobalt Core by Aaron Cherof, Gravity Well trades the original’s spacefaring atmosphere for four-on-the-floor rhythms, bright synths, and an unmistakable house groove. The remix keeps the original melody intact while giving it the energy of a modern dance track, making it equally at home in a DJ set or a video game music playlist.
