Cruise into lush lofi vibes in “Maple Treeway”! Using guitar, piano, and warm textures, Coffee Date drives home the mid-’00s nostalgia with a cozy twist on Mario Kart Wii.

Coffee Date is composer and multi-instrumentalist Evelyn Rivera. Known for albums including Stardew & Chill and Hyrule Café, Coffee Date’s sound is characterized by acoustic and orchestral instrumentation and nostalgic melodies. In her take on “Maple Treeway”, Coffee Date includes live guitar, violin, piano, and melodica performances. The original theme appeared in the course of the same name in MarioKart Wii, and was composed by Ryo Nagamatsu. “Maple Treeway” will appear on Coffee Date’s upcoming Wii tribute album, Wii Chill, releasing this summer!
