Spindash is a re-imagination of Sonic the Hedgehog’s most beloved music. Produced by Dj CUTMAN, Spindash features 16 video game remixers spanning diverse styles of dance music, includng future bass, dnb, house, trance and even dubstep. Old school fans will recognize themes from Genesis-era favorites like Chemical Plant and Ice Cap Zone. The album also features music from more recent Sonic games, including Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Colors.
Trapped in a Pokéball, the collaboration between Dj CUTMAN and his former student Belthesar, is a remix of the 1989 Nintendo title Pokémon Trading Card Game. The game was originally released for Gameboy Color and is out now on the 3DS Virtual Console. This track combines chiptune leads with powerful hip-hop drums and then evolves into an epic drum and bass powerhouse.
It’s a Super Smash Bros mega mix by Dj CUTMAN! This track features ten remixes from the Smash Bros Melee soundtrack, all in a fun BREAKS style! A note from Dj CUTMAN: The concept of Nerdcore Instrumentals is a way for me as an audio engineer to give back to the Nerdcore community. I’ve always loved hiphop music. I thought it would be a cool experiment to use some of the mastering techniques I usually reserve for dance music on hiphop instrumentals. I think the results are powerful. Use these beats as freestyle tools, mix into a DJ set, or just kick back and enjoy. MeowMeow & BowWow is a Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening tribute album by Dj CUTMAN. Cutman takes an 8-bit approach to LoFi Hip Hop, mixing relaxed beats with precise chiptune instrumentation, recreated from the iconic Gameboy game.
