Tune in with Chewie’s Samus & Piano album is an emotive journey into the Metroid universe that features fifteen haunting piano performances of music from the beloved series.


Samus & Piano is the second album to be released under GameChops’ new Unplugged imprint, which reimagines famous videogame themes as acoustic instrumental tracks. Inspired by his 2021 lofi hip hop album Samus & Chill, sound engineer and multi-instrumentalist Tune in with Chewie is revisiting the soundtrack of Metroid with a series of melancholic piano arrangements. Samus & Piano features music from the original Metroid for NES, the Super Nintendo’s Super Metroid, the Metroid Prime trilogy for GameCube and Wii, and the handheld GameBoy titles Metroid II: Return of Samus and Metroid Fusion.
