With sweet piano and violin lines, “Aerith” by Coffee Date imagines the Final Fantasy heroine’s theme as an emotional lofi arrangement. 

Coffee Date — real name Evelyn Rivera — is a Los Angeles-based composer and multi-instrumentalist. Her signature style is marked by orchestral atmospheres, heartfelt arrangements, and live instrumentation. Composed by Nobuo Uematsu, “Aerith’s Theme” featured originally in 1997’s Final Fantasy VII, and can also be heard in the game’s prequel, Crisis Core, as well as its 2020 remake for PlayStation 4 and 5.
