Sonic the Hedgehog receives a future funk flip in the second single from Sonic & Chill. Funk Fiction’s take on “Angel Island Zone” features big basslines and feel-good synth melodies — perfect for going fast or just chilling out.

Funk Fiction is a music producer and composer known for his work on game soundtracks including No Straight Roads, Omega Strikers, and Spark the Electric Jester. “Angel Island Zone” features his signature funky synths, big beats and uplifting energy. The tune, originally appearing in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 for SEGA Genesis, is credited to musician Brad Buxer and SEGA’s Sound Team. “Angel Island Zone” will appear on Funk Fiction’s Sonic the Hedgehog tribute album “Sonic & Chill”, releasing Fall 2023 on GameChops!
