Joshua Morse is a Nashville-based composer and software engineer. Blending the worlds of funk and chiptune, he is known for his fresh takes on the most iconic retro gaming themes, with his discography including titles such as Zelda Funk and Plugged In. For more 16-bit-flavored funk in the GameChops catalog, see Pete Frogs’ SEGA-focused Genesis Jams.

In “Tower of Dolls”, Joshua Morse doubles down on the tune’s funk vibes with upbeat grooves, reharmonizations, and jazzy improv. The original composition is credited to Konami Kukeiha Club, appearing first in Japan-exclusive Akumajō Dracula, followed by Castlevania Chronicles, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, and Castlevania Judgment.
